In 2017, 20,000 breast augmentations were done in Canada.
In the same year, 4,000 explants were done (40,000 in USA) & that number is on the rise. *
Why? A vast majority of women with breast implants start experiencing symptoms of autoimmune deficiencies, some as early as 3 months after implanting, others as long as 5 years later.
Most of these women were not informed by their Plastic Surgeon of the serious health risks that these implants would pose, nor of the risk of cancer (lymphoma) specifically caused by implants.
The stories below are from real women - different ages, backgrounds, stages of life - yet there is one common thread. They discovered that their implants made them sick.
